Edinburgh
is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities in the
world. With its spectacular castle perched on volcanic rock
dominating the skyline, the cobbled mediaeval streets
spread out below.
Featuring both the Old Town and the New Town, the city
centre was designated a World Heritage site in 1995.
With its compact centre, Edinburgh is the perfect place for
a walking tour. The famous Edinburgh castle and the Palace
of Holyroodhouse, the Queen’s residence in Scotland, are
two of the must-see sites. With its stunning architecture,
the city is littered with countless historic buildings,
each with a fascinating story to tell.
Many famous people such as Graham Bell, Robert Louis
Stevenson, Adam Smith, Sir Walter Scott and Arthur Conan
Doyle are from here.
